Start with checking the bulb, but my money is on the connections, both deck
mounted and the plug end which comes out of the mast. I have found that
the copper wires corrode (fresh water) and caused the problem for me. You
will need a very small (eye glasses small) screw driver to loosen the screws
on both the plug and the deck mount. After cutting off enough wire to get to
clean copper I reinstalled everything and used a dielectric grease to coat
all the connections to prevent further corrosion. I haven't had any
trouble since I did the repair 17 years ago.

The light that is up on the mast on my Rhodes has not worked since I bought
the boat. All other of my lights function just fine. I have IMF. How does
the wiring go up the mast to the light? If the light is just burned out or
broken, I can replace that. If the wires need replacing, I was curious how
the wires are run up the mast and where do they connect to the power system
of the boat?

Thanks!
