Joe,
Must be a bit of a generation gap going on here, when you said Travelin' Man, I was thinking Bob Seger :)

How does the new traveler attach to the stays? One of the things I do like about the bar traveler is when it's time to go swimming, I can pull the pin, release the traveler and swing it out of the way, and lower the swim ladder. I've got the walk through stern pulpit (wonder item to have!) and would hope the new traveler is as easy to release. - rob

Ladies, gentlemen and Rhodies of all ages:

Let me begin with the subject line: For those who lived through Ozzie and Harriet, this is a play on Ricky Nelson's song, "Travelin' Man."  For the rest of you, I suppose you don't get it; but you will get this.

Today was the day I finally tested my new GB traveler.  I have one word: "wow!"  If I were to venture a second word, that might be, "holy crap!"  And, that's two words, so you can tell that my enthusiasm simply cannot conform to standard limitations. So, let me go a bit wilder.

It is simple, easy to use, very functional, and in the Spitzer tradition, it has been worked and worked to make it the essence of utility and engineering beauty.  Get one.  Use one.  Enjoy one.  If you rarely used the old model (like me) you will think you've sailed over the rainbow. (Which is actually impossible, but makes one damn skippy metaphor).  I am a happy man... "happier" really, because I am pretty darn happy w/o the traveler.  Now, if I could just get my wife to... uh, come sailing with me more.
