Those instructions did it for me. I was able to change the year of my boat
from 1974 to 1976. I am sure you are all as relieved as  I am. I had no
trouble using Firefox - once I knew how. I have a Google+ account but I
don`t think I was signed in so that does not appear to be necessary. The
problem with the edit button is that it disappears if you scroll down the
page. You need to be at the top to see it.

Hi Bob -

Attached is "Red_Edit.JPG", showing the red edit button at the top of the
left column, as seen when logged into my gmail account on a Win 7 Pro
desktop using Firefox 29. Once you've clicked on the red edit button, you'll
see the screen shown in "Blue_balloon.JPG", which shows the blue balloon
icon highlighted at the top of the picture. Drag the balloon where ever
you'd like - you'll see that I've dragged the balloon to a spot just under
the word "Saskatchewan" in Canada. Zoom in using the map controls for more
accurate balloon placement. 

Once the balloon is where you'd like it to be, release it, then click on it.
A dialog box will appear where you can add whatever you'd like for the title
and description, as shown in Title&Description.JPG. Lastly, click on the
blue balloon icon in the upper right corner of the description box to access
other icons you can use with the map, as shown in (you guessed it)
Icons.JPG.

If you want to edit your icon / title / description, highlight your entry in
the list in the column to the left, then click the red edit button and knock
yourself out. If you're inclined, you can even delete the icon and entry
entirely - as I did with my Saskatchewan bubble.

The dinghy is inflated, the gas tank is full, and Lake Erie beckons. If
you'll excuse me...

Okay, I give up.  I cannot seem to locate the red "edit" button.  Do you
have to sign in again on Goggle Maps? 


What am I missing?
