If you throw enough money at a tiller pilot, it will steer to the wind or to
the compass. A much cheaper solution is sheet to tiller control of the
rudder (http://www.jsward.com/steering/). It balances the pressure of the
wind on the sail against the pressure of the water on the rudder - or maybe
it's just magic :)

It's wonderful that the boat will maintain a set course relative to the
wind, but you've gotta keep in mind that if the wind changes direction, so
will the boat. You still have to be watchful, or you'll wind up sailing onto
the beach somewhere. 

Lastly, for the system to work, you have to balance the boat on either point
of sail. Without a little bit of weather helm, it won't work.
