Hi Bruce -

Take a look at http://www.great-loop.us/2013/11, a page I put up last year
about the evils of lee helm and how to avoid it. I should have added more
content about how each 'cure' can reduce lee helm / increase weather helm -
but it seems I've gotten caught up in other issues. (Shame on me!)

Have a look, and see what you magic you can work to make your boat head up
instead of falling off when you release the helm.

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Boat doesn't come up into wind

I've only had one other boat besides the Rhodes, but it and everything I
read sez that when you let everything go, the boat should come up into the
wind.
Mine doesn't, unless the wind really gusts it over hard. On a normal sail,
even with the jib only modestly unfurled, she sails ahead straight as an
arrow. Which is usually nice, but since I single-hand it I bet if I fell
overboard, I'd feel that was less of an advantage.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Bruce M.
