We too moved up from a Com-Pac 16 - in 1998!

You will love your Rhodes!. Just don't be surprised if you need to 
reef a bit earlier than you did with the Com-Pac. Surprised us but we 
love the responsiveness, the light air ability, the way it points, 
the ease of reefing and the room.
