[Rhodes22-list] Need to go somewhere warm

Richard:
     I don't know where you are, even the south has been pounded this winter.  If you're a Northeastern pack rat (like me) this is the time the fever begins to  infect our unguarded systems.  It's not the flu. We fall to the infection of desire and begin to order equipment in hope of a warm day to begin the installation(s).  My wife is a bit upset with this quality in me.  She doesn't know about the new masthead anchor light that arrived today. And I'm not done!  

     I shattered my wrist (sailing) last July.  I am well removed from the experience.  So, I'm really aching. I look at old video or pictures.  They don't serve.  No number of winters can freeze out the sailor in our blood.  He (she) is the tiny voice that whispers in the voice of Popeye, favorite sailor, while we run the snow blower or scrape ice from the windshield: "I yam what I yam."  Or if you're the philosophical sort: "I thinksk, therefor I yam."  "Cogito ergo sum," if you're a Classicist.
