The nice thing about fibreglass is that it is really easy to repair -
especially were a perfect finish is not at stake. Just make sure you remove
all of the broken bits and any cracks and taper the area around the hole.
Resin will not penetrate cracks sufficiently to make a strong bond. There
are lots of YouTube videos about repairing fibreglass that should be very
helpful.

Don't despair, it reall isn't all that difficult and is well within the
ability of just about anyone. If you screw it up, just do it again.

It's already got the bolts/nuts so I'm stuck with trying Graham's ideas for
repair.
