Artemus,

I am doing well, thanks for asking. I will check my butane supply and get
back to you if I need any. Lake Hartwell has been doing well this winter. We
have had plentiful rain and we are currently down only four feet. This is
a normal winter draw down and of no concern, as long as they allow the
level to raise come spring. It is cold here, but it is winter after all. Enjoy
Florida you snow bird you.

Rummy,

I hope you are feeling in the pink again. I use Butane cylinders from a
local farmers market. The single burners are widely used at Chinese
restaurants, so they might give you a steer. I can bring some up to Hartwell next
trip up. So how is the water at the lake?

Best, Art

My 88 model came with a butane countertop burner already built in. It's
hotter than propane and has a butcher block to cover the hole when not in
use.
The butane bottles can be hard to find, but I've never run out yet. I also
have a magma grill hanging off the rear railing.

I currently just carry my Coleman camping stove on board and set it up in
the cockpit. I like the idea of mounting it to a table support tube,
which
I plan to do this year. Don't do much cooking on board as it is. I do
plan to get a Magna this year. - Rob

It all depends on how ambitious your cooking aspirations are. I ended up
with a small single burner alcohol burner in the galley which I use
mainly
for boiling water and I love BBQ so I mounted a propane Magna Kettle on
the
transom. I actually bought an all stainless 2 burner propane cooker that
runs off the small Coleman gas bottles, but it takes up a lot of galley
counter space so I scrapped that idea. I mounted the alcohol cooker on a
chopping board and it stows under my sink when I am sailing and fits
nicely into
the counter for cooking.
