Great....but not to worry...I have a R-22 expert hauler doing the deed for me. I just needed to know that what I remembered was correct.

Elle, I'm sorry to hear you are selling. But don't worry trailering the boat isn't too difficult.

Start by backing the trailer down the ramp so that the flexible bunks are mostly submerged with the trailer winch ready to connect to the boat. If you have the tongue extension go ahead and extend it before you back the trailer down the ramp.

Next, bring the boat with the centerboard down onto the trailer under power. The centerboard will help center the boat on the trailer and will automatically be retracted by the roller on the trailer. I assume you have a Rhodes friendly trailer.

Then connect the hook to the boat and winch the boat forward before pulling the boat out of the water. Try to bring the boat as far forward as possible. This will ensure an adequate tongue weight and help to keep the boat from fish tailing down the road.

Oh, be sure to bring up the rudder and motor before you pull the boat up the ramp. If you don't, it may drag and damage the rudder. (Ask my how I know) also lock the centerboard in the up position once the boat is on the trailer.

Questions?

Cheers,
Ted

However, I guess we need a decent ramp to back the trailer down...help please....there is another marina which will not haul smaller boats but if I only need the ramp I may be able to work something out with them..
