Once upon a time, I handled automotive electrical problems for a dealership. That has nothing to do with my answer being correct - I just thought I'd blow a little smoke around before guessing :)

It sounds like you have a wire breaking / broken inside the insulation. If you have a good stable voltage at the Lazarette terminals, see if you can put a couple of jumpers between the terminals and the rocker switch, or just go for it and replace those wires.

That gotta hasta must be the problem. I think.

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Inoperative motor lift

Really ned some help here. Got the boat rigged and was checking all the moving parts only to find the motor lift inoperative. Called Stan and he sent me a new switch, which turned out not to be the problem. Began by tracing the power. batteries both check ok, 13+ volts. Lazarette terminals check good power. when checking the switch wires from the lazarette to the up/down rocker switch at the switch end, got fluctuating voltage ( all over the place). lift motor works fine when hooked to separate battery. Stan is mulling it over, but we idon’thave an answer yet. Any Ideas? Feel free to call. Thanks
