100 pounds with a dual axle trailer has little affect on tongue weight.

</div>Remember that 100 pounds located that far back will reduce the tongue weight causing sway at higher speeds.

IF you leave the outboard on the motor mount, be sure to tie the motor off to the stern rail to keep road bumps from doing any damage. 4 strokes can be a lot to handle weighing in around 100 pounds.

Definitely take it off the transom. Highway jolts are really hard on outboard brackets. I have seen many of them broken because of trailering with the motor on them. Keep it in the vehicle or have a nice Outboard bracket made to mount it on the trailer tongue. Dont forget to have them weld in a sturdy u bolt so you can lock it.
The only trailering i go with the motor on a bracket is from the bottom of the ramp to the launch parking area. Some people add transom savers (strut from motor shaft to bottom of trailer.). These work and help but still less than ideal imho.
