Susan,

I retrofitted a 12v Coleman cooler to my '83 3 years ago. I have 2 batteries & a single 14 watt solar panel. I use only 1 battery but only run the chiller for 2 hours to cool it on arrival. With 2 freezer packs inside everything stays cool through cocktail hour. The boat sits on a mooring all week charging & the battery is fine for lights & chilling Saturday & Sunday.
