Open heart surgery. I used a 6' length of wire and slipped the two ends
down on either side of the board then crawled under the trailer and twisted
the ends together. The loop above gave me a handle to lift it out — one
hand on the wire loop and the other lifting on the pennant line. Weighs
about 75 lbs. The pivot sleeve and pin has a bit more slop than I'd like
but it looks fine and has worked for 25 years so I didn't see any need to
replace it. Here are some shots:
