Hi Joe, I too wanted to change over to LED's.  You may want to consider this
idea before you bury yourself in yourself in another sparky mess.  Each side
has it's own switch so you can turn on only one side.  They are quite bright
compared to the 1157 bulbs and make for very easy reading.  I changed all 3,
the one in the galley, the one on the cockpit bulkhead and the one in the
forward berth.  I love em!
