The Rhodes 22 Email List rhodes22-list at rhodes22.org

I’m not sure who the author is of this last message, but it would seem that Mike on Long Island raised his hand first, and is in conversation with John Lock to transfer hosting. Hopefully there’s some back-channel communication going on between them, because what’s been visible on the list isn’t nearly enough to get the job done.

I’m still concerned about the fragility of this whole operation. On the bright side, since I mentioned the other day that the ‘rhodes22.org’ domain was going to expire in a few months, it has now been extended for another year. It will now expire on April 6, 2017. Thanks MJM (I assume), I’d be willing to kick in funds for a few more years.

If we lost the current arrangement, it would likely be a devastating blow to this community. Clearly, there are at least a few members who are not big fans of Facebook. (Personally, I don’t dislike Facebook so much, I just can’t figure out how it works.) Interestingly (to me at least), there are also Rhodes 22 groups on both Yahoo and Google.

The Yahoo group was set up in 2008, and only has around 100 messages on it. The last message was in 2012.

The google group is more interesting. It has a lot of message volume from sometime in 2007 to sometime in 2012, but the content is the messages from this list. I’m not at all sure how this was done.

So, here’s hoping for another successful transition.
