Oops.

The link in the message below is correct - but as you may have noticed, the
message came from trailersailors.info, not trailersailors.com.

Apologies for any lost surfers ;)

OK, my suggestion falls a little short when it comes to your cruising
boundaries, but here's a thought -

"Registration for the Trailer/Sailors Association 2016 North Channel cruise
is now open. You may register on our web site at this link:

http://www.trailersailors.info/2016-north-channel-cruise-registration/

hope to see you on the water"

I just got notice from trailersailor.com this morning.

It's being held in August this year, from the 7th to the 20th. Perhaps a bit
too much time on the water?

Inspired by Enosis, I'm dreaming of a mini cruise. We are
looking for options on Ohio Lake Erie, Lake Huron south of Thunder Bay or
Kentucky
Lake. I found Greatlakessailing.com and
understand Sandusky gets especially busy.
Green algae doesn't excite me.
Clearly I'm not putting out on Erie in a small craft advisory. Nor do I
want to try Gunkholing as plan A
yet. We'll avoid July and August. I am guessing Kentucky
Lake would be a safer practice run for a non holiday trip in May, perhaps
trying to go north in September. My only overnight experience was
renting from Stan (who unfortunately didn't make reservations). Of course
delaying reservations until the last minute would allow weather to influence
my destination.

Can anybody suggest options for three or four nights of
trailer parking and marina destinations? I was thinking about a couple
marinas or ramp and marina within sailing distance of each other that have
dining and shower options, plus something to explore by land, so Tamiko can
retain
some trappings of civilization. I want to ease her into trailer cruising
gradually. We both enjoy traveling and
testing restaurants. She comes from a Japanese tradition of small spaces
on land. I have all weather camping experience. Dare we straddle a weekend
(launch Friday, take out Monday to avoid crowded ramps) or are we much
better taking time off in the workweek?
Practical advice from those who have done it is greatly appreciated.
