SP2 scarpin 1/16 inch 8 pack from Annapolis Performance Sailing -

trick.
Easy to insert ,easy to remove and velcro strap  keeps it tight

I have used D-rings and tape.  Easier to get on and off for adjustments.
As Chris mentioned you only need to cotter/secure one end of the turnbuckle.
