[Rhodes22-list] Fat Rigged IMF

I’ll guess that what Rick might be referring to is that an IMF mast is ‘fatter’ than a non-IMF mast.  I’ve never seen a non-IMF mast, so I couldn’t say from personal experience, but it seems likely that would be true.

I have also not yet sailed my newly recycled R22, but I’ve spent many hours ready the list archives.  I can’t recall a single instance of someone with the IMF system wishing they had the standard mast instead.  The IMF system can of course experience mechanical failures of one sort or another, but reports of this are infrequent.
