[Rhodes22-list] My First Hello

Welcome Steve.

When I joined a year ago my initiation was simple. I had to testify that I
had opposing thumbs, therefore at least genus Homo, and declare my favorite
rum.

The boat fits my needs well. I've been out a dozen times this year, on
water too cold with winds too high to single hand my Buccaneer 18. If you
haven't sailed this 22 yet I suspect somebody down your way will volunteer a
daysail. Otherwise road trip!

I can launch or haul out in about 2 hours. Due to an aborted cruise, I had
a little extra practice in April. I have the mast crane and can do it
alone. It would take half a day to demo the boat, plus time on the water.
Unless I was buying a cheap project I would want to inspect on the hard,
test for leaks and watch the rigging process while looking for any missing
parts. But I bought a factory refit, so I had no worries.
