[Rhodes22-list] Annapolis Sailboat Show - Oct 5- 9

Will you guys and dolls cut it out already. Unless you just want to
party, in which case don't hang it on me. I was a Sinatra fan and this
is just the first of my retiring performances.  I am playing it safe;
the final curtain call won't happen til Chris Geankoplis can make it in
person.

All I said was I needed partnering. There were several solid responses
but divorces stood in the way. One mistaken Rhodes owner called for a
part and I asked if he wanted a job instead. Before we hung up, his
girl friend, their 3 kids and mother had squeezed into our tiny 2 BR
waterfront cottage and we finished our first inboard e-propulsion Rhodes
now leaving Tuesday for Baltimore. Word got out and a couple in OR
ordered the second e-propulsion Rhodes for delivery ASAP. Still have to
figure out how to get up to the usual 4 more Rhodes we take to the show.
Still desperately need partnering. Still no time for partying.
Going to the show for one thing: To sell boats.

I do remember the after hours catered affair at our boat at the show. We
gave away a prize. It turned out the winner was a stranger. He did not
own or never owned a Rhodes. He did thank us for the prize. I even
recall the first line of my speech. "Never before have so many, who are
mad at me, gathered together in one place at one time." Besides,
emotionally, without Elton there, I would not be able to handle it.

Maybe next year or the one or two thereafter.

Sorry about this but I have still to think of all those poor folks all
over this world, who have not yet lived the joys of sailing a Rhodes,
like this couple in Australia are having sailing Australian waters.
