[Rhodes22-list] SAILING TO ITALY

It is tempting but a new vessel is pretty spendy. Renting for 3-4 months
each year can really rack up the bills also. My son had an old small 22'
English boat called a Pandora (aptly named) in the med for many years.
Lots of fun. Too much fun. It took him 8 years to get his undergraduate
degree, seems his "summer"s began a semester early and ended a semester
late. So I am comfortable with the sailing and keeping a boat over there.
I've sailed the whole area when I was much younger in an old lightning so
the Rhodes is a mega-yacht compared to that. Like I said this adventure is
not exactly financially logical but we are retired and I figure rather than
be a greeter at Wallmart my part time job is to get the Boat over there.
