Yes, i race our R22.
1: reduce unnecessary weight.
Light anchor, small motor, 1/4 filled fuel tank, light crew, ditch inside cushions and other junk you may want for cruising.
2: tie the jib line, do not use a clip that can get caught when tacking
3: roll tack. That is if the crew was on the high side before the tack, stay there as it becomes the low side until all sails are driving. In light air do not change sides when tacking. The tiller person keeps the boat moving. The crew watches the other boats and gives tacking advise.

4 work the traveler to get maximum drive. Start with 50% move of traveler upwind. On each upwind tack

5 adjust the pointing using a velocity made good measurement. That is maximize the component of your velocity vector that points to the mark. This can be done by the crew using a phone app.

6 cover your opponents tacks when sailing upwind. You of course tack away if you are being covered

7 shadow opponents downwind. Down wind jibe away if you are being shadowed.

Raise center board down wind to reduce drag

8 have fun, congratulate your opponents, drink beer / wine/ ...
