[Rhodes22-list] Rubber gasket - v block

Mine (1976) doesn't have a "v block" and I am wondering now if it should. Patrick, are you able to take picture of it?

Thank you for sharing Curtis, I was tempted to use this sponge rubber, but
I chose to stay with solid neoprene. My boat stays in water all summer.

On the subject of wet bilge, when I open up the cap, there is this cute
little V-block, inverted. I think it serves to home in the center board
when it is raised.
Two screws are used to secure this V block, driven through the side wall at
a 45 degree. This is perfect for water coming into the bilge. I found
another rusted screw tip 5 mm away. Now, I can guarantee Stan is incapable
of doing this. My boat is built for Stan, it is NOT built by Stan.
Now, I wonder what Stan use to secure this V block, if any. Perhaps 5200 ?
