I have an older R-22, an ’84. The front port lights are not on my boat.
I don’t take the boat for weekends and don’t need the ventilation (if they vent)
But - Personal preference - I like the way the boat looks better without the front port lights.
I do like very much, the large hatches over the head and the same size one on the port side to match.
I see all the later models with these two hatches. My boat does not have the two large hatches either.
Although I love my boat, Stan would have me buy a refurb. instead of fixing and upgrading the one I have.
Can’t blame him, but I love to tinker.
