Indeed.  I am always grateful to have a bimini.  Mike describes the experience perfectly.  My old Cal 27 lacked a bimini, and it was not nearly so pleasant in hot weather, especially when the wind dies on you in the middle of the Intracoastal Waterway on a July afternoon.
