Hello all. I made the (long, drawn out) decision to purchase a recycled
Rhodes 22 recently and will be taking delivery of an '87 model in April.

The sv Emma B will call Athens, GA her home port (can it be called a port
with no body of water?), but will trailer with me to many of the epic areas
I travel to for work.

I'm pretty excited about this next chapter of my life. I have to give a lot
of credit for this decision to Stan (of course) who has patiently answered
about 1 million emails about his boats for me, and to Peter Nyberg. His
well thought out and edited series of videos have been a big inspiration to
me a potential solo sailor. Like Peter, I come from an avid outdoor
recreation background. I do wish I had his woodworking skills though!!

This is my first sail boat, and I anticipate making lots of newbie errors
as I learn the lines. The Emma B will be traveling with me to WI for the
summer and I plan to take a sailing course there to help limit those "oh,
crap" moments.

Looking forward to meeting some of you along the way!
