Congratulations on getting your plywood floor out.  

If the two plastic block were just floating around loose in the bilge, then they were most likely accidentally sealed in the last time Stan’s crew put the floor in.  I didn’t find any plastic bits in my bilge, but I did find several small bits of wood.

On my boat, black plastic blocks like you describe have been used hold seat cushions and the porta-pottly in place.  A hole is drilled through one of the 3/4” edges, a bolt is fitted into the hole, and the protruding portion of the bolt is inserted into a hole in a seat or the floor.  Any holes in your pieces?
