a few weeks ago, I loosened my backstay so as to not leave the rig loaded
so hard while just sitting in the slip. then promptly forgot about it. The
sail was a little harder to furl, because it was bunching up at the bottom
. Went for a sail yesterday and tightened it back up The sail furled and
unfurled noticeably better. You might want to try different tensions on
your backstay to see if it helps your cause.
