[Rhodes22-list] AIS and VHF radios

The radio has a lead (appears the same gauge as the external speaker wire) for NMEA OUT LEAD (NMEA0183 v 3.01 sentences formatters). I’m lost in trying to go through the options, but it appears most AIS receivers want a separate coax cable feed or a splitter at least.
