Good idea Robert. I'll try it.

You might try one of the battery operated sonic devices designed for under
car hoods to keep critters from chewing wires. I have one I keep on the boat
to deter raccoons.

I welcome Spring by scaring all of the nesting red squirrels out of the boat
and clean out the mess they leave. I was told that fox urine is a deterrent
for squirrels - and , yes, you can buy it on Amazon. It is a concentrated
stink that is particularly unpleasant when you spill it on your hands and
clothing as inevitably happens. I put it in little paper cups throughout the
cabin. The squirrels chewed the cups.

Has anyone found a solution for this problem?

Outfitting? Not for a while yet. I think I'm done with snow plowing, but
can't really be sure.

In past years I've made the mistake of taking the cover off the boat in the
early spring. Then the trees wake up and start shedding all manner of weird
stuff. This year, I'm waiting.
