[Rhodes22-list] IMF sticking

Hello all, hope everyone is having a great summer of sailing.  I’ve been having an issue with the IMF the last few outings.  The system seems to “bind up” when Im trying to furl the main when under way.  Doesn’t matter if I’m bow into the wind, I end up having to grab the sail at the outhaul car and pul it forward a couple of feet and then pull the reefing line to “catch up”.  The odd thing is that when I’m in the slip, it functions normally, in and out as smooth as you please.  (I do routinely clean the boom slot and lubricate with McLube).  Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated .
