Chris,

Some of my non-sailing friends think I'm adventurous because I even own a
sailboat.  You and Alice are unbelievable!  I know you're a retired teacher
but I can't remember if you taught creative writing.  Very entertaining.
Can't wait until your next installment.  The Kojak teaser has me on the
edge of my seat.

When you're done you should consider sending it to SAIL magazine.  They'll
want it condensed to a few pages but they could include a link to the
entire story.  I may be biased but it's a lot better than most of their
cruising stories.
