Mine was really hard to move so I put chocks in front of or behind the wheels and use the truck to pull or push it in place all while the boat is on the trailer.

I realized recently when I pulled my boat I did not need to unhook from the car. The come-along easily rolled the boat back and forth while extending and retracting the tongue.
