Thanks Brian--36" is too short.  My gasket on a 2006 R22 is 54.25" long.  I haven't tried Ebay yet but that’s a good idea.

I'm sure there's a more efficient option, but I went onto Ebay for mine and
ordered a roll of 3/16" neoprene. The thickness was based on an old post by
Stan on the webpage; I think Roger provided the durometer rating. 40A? Mine
came from a boat guy in Fort Lauderdale. My leftovers got used on other
odds and ends. I looked just now and a roll 12" x 36" was about $40 with
free shipping. Get out a nice sharp blade and a sunny day. I have an older
CB but was able to cut out the interior as needed to support the lift
mechanism.
