Hi All,

The saga of my centerboard continues. After removing it we found that the
damage is quite extensive as can be seen from the attached pictures. My
boat mechanic is very good with fiberglass, but I would greatly appreciate
any suggestions that you have regarding how to approach this repair.

We noticed that there appears to be tiny bits of metal embedded in the resin
at the leading edge of the centerboard, possibly lead shot? I am guessing
that might have been an attempt to increase the weight of the centerboard,
but there did not seem to be enough to make much difference. Any thoughts
on that?

I reached out to Stan directly about the centerboard but haven't heard back
in over a week. Has anyone heard from him recently? My last email from him
was on May 1st.

Thanks,

Mike McKay
