They fit in the vertical, tapered slots on the inside of the CB trunk that accepts the CB pivot pin.
There are two short pieces of hose - heater, garden, radiator or otherwise.
They are there to soften help prevent the pivot pin from rising and allowing the top of the CB to hit the CB cap.
They might also help with the ‘clanking’ issue that is such a hot topic lately.
They are sort of ’shock absorbers’ .
The cap is much more vulnerable to damage without them so I recommend you reinstall or replace them.
The slots are bout 6” aft of the front of the CB I attached two photos, the first without the hose installed the 2nd where you can see. them installed.

>> I absolutely recommend the hose parts in the CB slots. The Rhodes CB, especially the old restyle blade type is the weak point of the boat and is most vulnerable to damage. Yes it rattles and clunks in its trunk but it is free to rise through the top of the CB cap if you do something wrong, like backing up in the shallows or launching with the CB pendant loose. You should do everything you can to prevent that kind of damage including the hose pieces.
