[Rhodes22-list] Rhodes for Sale

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to get back on the email-list, as I went to log-in today and nothing worked.

I'm selling my Rhodes, which was Stan's demo-boat that many of you sailed, before you purchased your own. I've wanted to sell it for a couple of years and posted about that in 2023 or 2024, but my wife wanted to hang on to it.
I won't detail those marital-conversations where she thought I was asking too little or not giving it a chance, or whatever.

It's 1989' model that was up-cycled in 2015. I bought new sails in 2019, which got delayed by COVID, and then changed over the correct sail-luft to fit the mast in 2025  They have zero-hours on them.
I've got an itemized invoice from last year that corrected a whole lot of problems with the boat's wiring. The solar-panels and batteries were replaced. The electrical system "fixed." (It was the demo/prototype boat, so I'm not faulting Stan, but the electrical system was... messy.)
The shore-power-wiring is capped-and-stowed, but otherwise everything should be good-to-go.
All of the work was done at Navy Point Marina in Sacket's Harbor, NY.

The trailer is a dual-axle that I bought from Triad in 2019. It's got about a thousand miles on it (none of it in water). The tires and hubs were in good condition when I towed up it up Navy Point last Spring, but it needs an inspection and registration renewal (which I'll cover and fix).

It has a Lehr, 5HP propane-outboard that I've had in my garage and fire up every year. It has maybe 20 hours on it, but could use an oil change (as it's mostly been sitting for 10 years) and the hoses replaced.

I'm having the boat cleaned and detailed (the cushions and cockpit-cushions have been in my garage) and then bringing it back to Syracuse, NY once that's done. The interior-upholstery might as well be new; the foam, still really good, but not "new."

I don't want to post pictures until it's been cleaned, because the Winter-storage yards I used in the past (not Navy Point) didn't really fulfill their end of the bargain.
However, this is the boat next to my truck after my wife and I went through and cleaned it up the last time (Summer of 2024).

I'm going to list it for $12.5k, but I want to offer it up to the Rhodes-group (which has been so good to me over the years) the first crack at it, to keep it in the family.
