Bob,

Just to add one quick thing to what Wally said; your jack should be a good
one. You might  have a scissor jack, or similar in your pickup. You may be
thinking this will lift an R22 and trailer; it won't. I carry a 5 ton bottle
jack and some extra wooden blocks when I tow our boat. Learned this the
"hard way" :-)
