Tom what about that UPS sail? Re: [Rhodes22-list] Baltimore thank-yous to...

Thanks Tom. Questions? Do I have questions: How much have you actually used
it? What's the ratio of use with your genoa? If it's a compromise, what are
the downsides? ;-) I don't think I've heard any downsides yet unless it's
that a spinnaker is better in some situations. How much space does that
extra furler take up on the deck - right now we have a nicro solar fan in
the vent that usually goes to the rode locker. It doesn't take up too much
space but I can see things getting close up there. Hmmm... would the sail
work without the furler? Might save on space and pennies. We have a spare
halyard....

Sorry we will miss you at the show but we'll still have the boat in the
water for a few more weeks - maybe a trip to Baltimore is in the cards. If
not this fall, then certainly next spring. I'd be interested in seeing both
the UPS and your genoa. What's your genoa furler? Ours is the standard GBI
but it and the 175 are 5 years old so we are starting to think about what
might come next. Gotta start saving those nickels and dimes - maybe the
quarters too!
