Todd,

Do you know that you can just extend the shaft??? I have a very low hours, 
81 Evinrude 4.5 that I got for nothing. It was a 15 inch shaft. Bought a 5 
inch shaft extension to make it 20. As a 15 it would come clear of the 
water if anyone went to the fore deck. Now it works fine. I had the motor 
shop do it and IIRC it cost about $150.
