We've decided to spring for stainless snap shackles, but I'm not sure what size to buy. > Snap shackles are a wonderful convenience and I will confess I used them for years. However they can be dangerous if your sail is flogging. I know someone who got hit in the head and required stitches. Its better to attach the sheets to the clew with a bowline. Richard Smith
