Wally,

When you pay your sales tax remember the tax is on the
boat, not the motor and trailer. I had a Missouri
title and made up my own boat value, saved me some
bucks. When I lived in Williamson County (outside
Nashville) I lived on 12 acres surrounded by farmland
but I had to get an annual emmision and safety
inspection because of its proximity to Nashville
(30miles). Collierville is 7 miles from Memphis,
fully developed, but no emmision inspection or safety
check required. I don't get it. Car theft is so
common in the city of Memphis that the cops only
respond if your life was threatned. Otherwise you
just report it and wait. Most of my co-workers who
commute and keep "crash-pads" here drive the ugliest
thing they can find. Most of the suburbs here have
Nazi police forces so its not so much a problem.
