Todd,
I'm not speaking for Alex, but from my personal experience I can tell you
that I have a "system" for docking and I tell everyone to SIT, don't MOVE or
try to help in any manner. People moving around on the boat changes weight
distribution and alters my course under slow speeds. Another contributing
factor is that there is a roof that overhangs near my berth and to much
weight on the starboard side will run the outer stays into a sheet metal
roof. NOT GOOD.!
Offering help to a novice might be appreciated, but us old pro's like to use
and show off our skills.......WITHOUT ANY HELP. Looking good is very, very
important. Speaking of looking good, I have attached a photo of me with my
all French Girl crew from last summer.

Rummy............damn, liquor stores are closed and I'm out of rum.....can
you tell?
