Russ,

Thanks. We originally considered both of the Chesapeake schools you mention,
as well as J World, but ended up looking at Chapman for several reasons.

The fact that they're in their 4th decade of providing professional mariner,
marine survey, UCSG license, radio operation, diesel mechanics, etc., etc.
training was a big consideration. This is not to say that Annapolis SS,
MAryland SS, and J World are any less proficient. I just like the idea of
working w/ a school that has the reputation Chapman's seems to have.

We wanted to do some ocean sailing. FL to the Bahamas and back should give
us an opportunity to see if we really want to continue with this.

I also think it'll probably be warmer in FL than the Chesapeake in early
April <g>.
