Dave,

This discussion comes up fairly regularly. Take a look at

My wife and I looked around for a long time before settling on the Rhodes.
We previously owned a couple of dinghys and a West Wight Potter 19.  We
decided to buy the Rhodes for several reasons, not the least of which are
quality, trailerability, sailing comfort / safety / performance, and the
ability to overnight in comfort.
