[Rhodes22-list] List Down

I have known about those kinds of problems with AOL when they were
strictly a dial up service. They have not changed their attitudes. In
addition, contrary to popular opinion, Charter is not that far behind.
When you consider broadband service, evaluate if you can get technical
support when YOU need it, not six hours later. I choose a local DSL
provider mostly because you can get a person and technical support.
They are not perfect, but during business hours, at least you get a
person, unless the problem is so immense that physically they cannot do
it all.

I know you had some issues with ATT previously, but from seeing things
only
at the user level, i have never found any problems with their service,
and
their email servers are just as fast as any others i've used. The tech
people have been able to answer any questions i've thrown at them, and
now i
use att mail in combination with my local cable company's broadband. The
cable company's service is another story. They can almost beat AOL's
poor
service with the exception of ad support. AOL can beat any company by
far
with ad numbers.
