Hello Rob, Your Honda, with the v-6 is going to do just fine. The secret to a long and happy life of smaller motors is to not ask the motor to do anything it is not capable of. For example; if you are facing an up hill grade of 6% and it is 6 mi. long, it is 100 degrees, and your speed and rpm's are falling? It is time to make an adjustment. Do not make the mistake of floring the throttle and ignoring the water temp.
As soon as you cannot maintain your speed manually select the next lower gear so one half throttle is used. ( before the water temp. increases) Now you are pumping more coolant, not stressing your transmission, and for extra credit turn off your ac. for a few minutes. Barry
