[Rhodes22-list] Was Testing Attachment: Zodiac Magic

Roger:
I agree. I've had the opportunity to cruise around in Zodiac like boats on
occasion, and to facilitate certain projects, and have always wanted one. I
got a swell deal on this one, and couldn't resist. Although our area has a
number of associated hazards for inflatables (and for that matter any type
of boat...things like shallow oyster beds), I believe with reasonable
caution the craft should give us many years of fairly trouble free service.

It's first scheduled project will begin next week; we are going to assess
an area for potential commercial development with possible seagrass bed
impact. I will be using the Zodiac to sample a deeper (8') channel at the
western edge of the survey area with an Eckmann grab sampler, launching
from the shoreline (rather than the nearest ramp, about 2 miles distant).
The craft should be a real time and energy saver, which was one reason why
my business partner and fellow field biologist (read: wife) voted for the
purchase.

One question?: What sort of setup do you use to tow your inflatable behind
Dynamic Equalibrium?
