Starting in 2003 (maybe earlier) Elton told me replaced the "standard"
trailer tail lights from Triad with "waterproof" fully sealed/potted LED
lights. They don't get as hot and don't crack if you immerse them, and
should be more waterproof.  I did have to fix a corroded ground screw on the
right tail light this past spring prior to launch.

Since I use the trailer extension, the lights aren't plugged in at the ramp,
or for at least an hour beforehand (while rigging), so I'm not sure how much
of an advantage this is, but my lights work well, and are less trouble than
conventional bulb lights I've had before that relied on a gasket seal to
keep the water out.
